SHIFT Conversation via Antionette Carroll

Last May, AIGAWM partnered with Ladies That UX in Grand Rapids to host a Breakfast with Antionette Carroll and moved on to an AIGAWM Meet & Greet Luncheon sponsored byThe Image Group. Antionette was here for AIGA's 2015 National Leadership Retreat to speak at our very first Diversity and Inclusion Mini Summit. She graciously accepted our invitation to return to West Michigan and encourage an expansion to our region's Conversation of Design Thinking, Social Innovation, Design Entrepreneurs, & Community Organizing.

Antionette will also share the story behind the Creative Reaction Lab, how August 9, 2014 and Ferguson, MO shifted her career from a typical 9-to-5 graphic designer to a design thinking facilitator, community organizer, and social impact design advocate; the lessons she has learned so far on her journey; and how design thinking (and you) can create civic change.

About Antionette Carroll:
Chair of the AIGA Diversity & Inclusion Task Force, as well as President of AIGA St. Louis, Antionette is the founder and executive director of Creative Reaction Lab [http://www.creativereactionlab.com], a social impact design collaborative whose mission is to challenge global issues through creative problem solving.
