Grand Rapids is fortunate to be home to one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s first major commissions in Michigan, the Meyer May House. Originally designed for a prominent Grand Rapids clothier, the house was purchased by Steelcase, meticulously restored, and re-opened to the public in 1987. Today, complete with original furnishings and faithfully executed reproductions, the Meyer May House provides the rare opportunity to experience a Prairie house exactly as Frank Lloyd Wright intended.
The tour also includes a viewing of the short film, The Renewing of a Vision.
A big thank you to Steelcase for sponsoring this tour.
