Antionette Carroll will be in from St. Louis for the AIGA Leadership Retreat and would like to meet you for lunch. She was recently named the Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force of AIGA and will be the host of the retreat's Diversity Mini Summit. Read her bio below and come hungry with questions.
Antionette is the Founder and Director of Creative Reaction Lab, an intensive social impact design incubator. The purpose of the Creative Reaction Lab is to bring designers together to develop visual and experiential approaches to some of society's largest problems - all without a client.
Antionette, Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force of AIGA: The Professional Association of Design, is also currently serving as the Vice President and Creator & Chair of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives of the AIGA – St. Louis Chapter and Chair of Connect With Young Professionals Board through FOCUS St. Louis. Antionette also sits on several awards and programming committees for local non-profits. Antionette often receives invitations to sit on panels and speak on the importance of community activism in the arts, social impact design, and diversity and inclusion in the advertising and graphic design industries.
In 2014, Antionette was accepted in the Regional Arts Commissions' Community Arts Training Fellowship Program and the inaugural class of the School of Visual Arts' Business of Social Design Intensive. In 2013, Antionette was recognized by the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life its Amethyst Honoree, and she graduated from the Focus St. Louis Emerging Leaders Program. She was also named the inaugural Katherine Dunham Fellow in Arts Administration by the Regional Arts Commission in 2011.
