Up Your Game

One of the best ways to stay creative is to learn something new…and there’s no time like the present! Starting this January, our friends at The Factory are offering a chance to build your skills with three in-depth, expert-led classes.

Classes also include studio tours with behind the scene views of how area companies use these skills, interactions with other practitioners in the space and ends with a big graduation night hosted by Grand Rapids Brewing.

Human-Centered Design Empathy

Who are you designing for? Put them back at the center of your work with a new approach for observing environments and people, understanding the user experience, and identifying ways to create meaningful connections.

Expect to:
1. Learn the practitioner’s mindset
2. Study key structured methods
3. Hear about real case studies
4. Practice applying the methods and mindsets.

The class is taught by Tom DeVries, a Human Centered Design methods expert with extensive experience leading projects and teams as well as embedding Human Centered Design practice into organizational culture as a catalyst of growth.
